OpenAI describes Intelligent UI as a way for ChatGPT to compose answers from text, graphics and interactive components. A response can include a form, a chart or a tool that a reader changes within the conversation. The company says it built a component library and a compiler that displays parts of the interface as the model generates them.
Its announcement set out a Chat-tab rollout to Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise, followed by Free and Go. Enterprise access depends on workplace administration. The release leaves the models behind Work and Codex unchanged. These are the announced boundaries; they do not establish that a particular team account has received the feature or that an interactive response suits a client’s production process.
Make the inputs inspectable
Consider a hypothetical studio comparing delivery options for a small campaign. An interactive response might let a producer vary the number of assets or a review date. Before sharing the result, identify the inputs the producer supplied, the assumptions the model added and the calculation behind the displayed answer.
Keep an approved reference alongside that interface. A colleague needs to see whether a changed total came from a revised brief, an altered assumption or an error. Our recommendation is to record the selected inputs and the decision in the project’s normal handover document, rather than rely on everyone reopening the same interactive state.
Check the review experience
Test the actual response with the people who will use it. Check labels and units, keyboard operation and the readability of the information they need to approve. Ask how a collaborator receives the experience and what the team can retain after the conversation. This article does not report a usability or accessibility test of Intelligent UI.
OpenAI’s examples show why an interactive answer may be useful for exploring an idea. A studio can evaluate that promise with one bounded review task and a clear acceptance condition. Keep account availability, product capability and the client’s approval record distinct when deciding whether the experiment belongs in a live workflow.
